Re: How did your marriage died?

Mine was pretty much like u, but the roles were reversed.
I was the one who neglected my ex wife till she went out to find others.
When i found out i ended it.
Actually in a way was quite what i wanted because of the troubles her family was bringing into mine and she did sneaky things to my family side which i never imagined possible.
Her character became problematic. Wasnt anything like that when we dated for years or maybe its just a scam all along.
good thing is we ended our marriage mutually, she didnt ask for any $ settlement and we had no kids.

Not married myself but it seems like when the wife earns more than husband it becomes a problem, eh? My parents also. Think it was when my dad lost his job and wanted to retire that my mom's attitude towards him changed. Probably because of the ingrained provider mindset... Confusing times indeed. Some women want equal pay but still want husband to earn more

mine essentially

leading different lifestyles. both eventually agreed to "open relationship". point of no return already.
this made me realise that i want to choose happiness over a relationship that is "overly stable". we dont fight, dont quarrel. honestly was a very good relationship all things considered as we have very similar preferences and what not

now in divorce limbo. talk about it but havent close case

u listen to love songs
think u understand the worst kind of relationships are the one that are in limbo, neither here nor there, neither alive nor dead.

make a decision soon, then act on it no matter the choice. move forward in your life and dont look back

hard choice to make haha.

its the choice of having someone that loves you more than you love them (my wife) or the potential to find someone that you love and the potential to be "truly happy"

hard choice indeed
but 1 u have to make eventually, better soon than later.

about finding someone else after divorce
limitless choices out there
yes having a choice out there doesnt mean a good one

some people are alone but dont feel lonely
some people always with someone but they constantly feel lonely

i say the right thing to do is not the mix these 2 matters together: divorce current wife VS prospect of ever finding someone else later.
It just clouds your judgement. These 2 are separate matters entirely. If u think your marriage is unbearable, end it. Doesnt matter what happens in future because u are living in misery already. U'll probably be much happier even if alone. Learn to be happy alone. U dont need depend on anyone else for your own happiness, otherwise the same cycle might just happen again.
